We recently attended a seminar put on by the service regarding Offers in Compromise.

In 2013 the IRS received approximately 74,000 offers. 45% of the ‘processable’ Offers were Accepted. In 2012 only 39% were accepted.

88% of the Offers we’re processed to completion in 9 months.

The offer specialist who was handling the webinar for the service said the biggest factor in getting acceptance is to make a reasonable offer and of course to be compliant at the beginning when your offer is submitted And throughout the process.

As a general rule when the service is evaluating your offer they will look back at your history over the last six years.
